Copeland D6 Piston

When the Copeland D6 Piston pin hole is perpendicular to the piston pin hole and there is a certain distance from the bottom surface of the piston skirt, use an outside micrometer to measure its diameter. The result is less than the convenient limit, indicating that the piston is worn too much and should be replaced. When replacing, first measure the diameter of the new piston and the inner diameter of the cylinder, and calculate the fit clearance between the new piston and the cylinder. If applicable, the piston can be replaced; if the diameter of the piston exceeds the use limit, the cylinder body can be boring and repaired.

Strain and corrosion of Copeland D6 Piston

Improper maintenance of the engine, such as broken piston ring, hard iron mixed in the cylinder, etc., will cause strain on the surface of the Copeland D6 Piston. If it is a slight strain, it can be polished with finer sandpaper or grindstone; if it is a serious strain, the piston needs to be replaced. If the carbon deposit on the piston top is too thick or the temperature is high, part of the metal on the piston will adhere to the cylinder wall, or there will be small melting pits on the piston top. The former is called sticky cylinder, and the latter is called ablation. If the pull is not serious, use a grindstone or finer sandpaper to polish the sticky or ablated part. If it is serious, replace the piston. Sometimes the piston will break, most of which occur on the top of the piston or near the piston pin hole, and the mechanical load is large. When the piston is broken, it should be replaced in time to avoid accidents.

The inner diameter is measured and plugged with an inner diameter percentage meter. The measured Copeland D6 Piston value is greater than the limit, indicating that the piston pin hole is severely worn and should be replaced. Use the outer diameter micrometer to measure the outer diameter of the piston pin at the upper, middle, and lower positions of the piston pin, and according to the JI value of the measurement result, it indicates that the excessive wear of the piston pin should be replaced. When replacing the piston or piston pin, the clearance between the piston pin hole and the piston pin should meet the standard requirements.
